Don’t Underestimate the Power of Clay

Have you ever wondered how a cleansing clay mask works, or why clay is recommended for spider and insect bites? Well, clay actually acts like a magnet as it draws toxic material out from the layers of the skin.
How does it do this? Because it possesses a negative ionic charge, while all toxins have a positive ionic charge. That means, this marvelous natural substance, from the earth, literally attracts positive ions, and draws them to itself. That’s why, when we drink a high quality form of clay, such as calcium bentonite, it moves through the body, and magnetically attracts and catches the “bad guys” that lurk in the tissues. In our digestive tract, it draws out toxins through the layers of the bowel wall. It is remarkably detoxifying!
Healing clays are not new on the modern health scene. Cultures all over the world have touted the medicinal and cleansing properties of clay. They depended on clay like a medicine.
About two thousand years ago, a famous physician named Pedanius Dioscorides traveled throughout the Europe and Asia Minor with Emperor Nero’s army. He was considered the “engineer of medicine” in the Roman Empire. Dioscorides wrote extensively about the healing virtues of clay in his five-volume treatise De Materia Medica.
The Native American peoples have always believed that clay has a wisdom of its own, and knows where to go and what to do. Clay is an effective balancer. As a catalyst in the body, clay can produce an element that the body is deficient in, even though the element is not in the clay itself. That is why it is ofter referred to as “Living Clay.” High quality clay is capable of making changes in the organism without losing any of its own elements. This activity is called bio-transmutation.
I am continually impressed with the results I see in those people who drink calcium bentonite clay as a prep before, and during, their colonic treatments.
Used with various forms of fibers, such as psyllium husks, pea hull and flax seed meal, the waste material moves out through the colon by means of a mopping effect. The combination of calcium bentonite clay and fiber pulls out old, black toxic waste that sits lodged in the bowel lining. It is VERY satisfying to see that ancient crap move out!

We must not underestimate the power of clay!

When taken internally, the particles of clay saturate the alimentary canal, including the small and large intestines. While doing so it draws out toxins from the layers of the intestinal wall. It has similar properties to soap, in that it disturbs “dirt,” and moves it away from where it was lodged or stuck.
